In a Roman legion during the empire, would you be likely to have a man from Sicilia bunking with a man from Hispania or someone from Britain serving alongside someone from Syria? Or would each legion be fairly geographically segregated?

I assume this varied a lot over the course of the Empire, so if it's too much to give a long overview, I guess limit it to the era of Marcus Aurelius (but I'm hoping for a long overview)

Kind of a follow up question, but would legions be formed and then moved for their garrison to keep them from possible revolt/discontent that they would sympathize with because they were from there? For instance, would a legion raised in Judea be stationed in Germania or Brittania because of the unrest in Judea?
