I've read some troubling accusations on facebook, that entire classes of these children may have been intentionally murdered and buried in mass graves. Not one to take such things on faith, I wonder if anyone here can speak to these assertions?
Is it possible you could share (anonymized) what was posted on Facebook you saw? Sometimes a greater context can help to understand what may have been intended.
