Hello, r/AskHistorians!
I have a (hopefully) straightforward question for you all. I am looking to read up on Lawrence of Arabia and was curious if one of you might have a suggestion for a good book where I could start. Happy for anything ranging from "pop history" to more serious, advanced works.
Thank you for your assistance!
Well, he did write his memoirs, Seven Pillars of Wisdom. So that's a starting point, albeit one to take with a hefty pinch of salt, as befitting a memoir.
I'm not a historian, but I really enjoyed Lawrence in Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly and the Making of the Modern Middle East by Scott Anderson.
