Did Adolf Hitler have absolute control, and if so, how did he gain it?

What I know is that to gain more control Hitler secretly burned the Reichstag, the German parliament, and blamed The Soviet Party for it, and by that he was able to declare emergency status and gain more power. But that couldn't have given him full control under the country, so what happened that changed Nazi Germany to a full dictatorship? I might (and probably) have had a few mistakes in the story of the Reichstag burning, so if find any, please tell me so! Thanks for answering!

The enabling act was what gave Hitler absolute power. It was passed with a constitutionally required supermajority of the reichstag (the social democrats were the only ones to vote against it - the Communists would have, but they were expelled from parliament). The enabling act gave Hitler legislative power - he could pass decrees that had the full weight of law. Significantly, these laws could deviate from the constitution. They were basically organic laws which no law was superior too, not even the constitution - the will of Hitler was essentially the constitution of the regime.

It was only supposed to last four years, but using his authority he dismissed the Reichstag, and had a new one elected under a single party election in which only Nazi's could gain seats. This body renewed the enabling act. After Hindenburg died, Hitler abolished the office of the presidency and assumed all its powers. So he held all executive and legislative power, as well as the power to deviate from the constitution at will.
