Ever since the birth of my son, I've gone out of my way to begin building a foundation for learning. I want him to grow up in an environment where learning and self-education is the norm. To that end I've been slowly building a library of books of all kinds for him to grow up around.
Right now, he's only 2-years-old, but as he ages, I'd like to have a steady stream of books for him to age into as well. That means I want books that will serve him at every level and every age.
Can anyone help me with this? Anything will be appreciated that can nurture his curiosity and knowledge through childhood and well into adulthood.
Thanks!
The Horrible Histories series would be a good entry level into history for children. Although it has traditionally focussed on British history they also cover other countries and civilisations. The British children's television series of the same name is also available to buy on DVD.
