Contact your local library and see if they have an archive that it would appropriate to add to. This seems more appropriate to have in an archive than a collection.
Failing that, contact the museum, find out if they have a policy on accepting donated objects and see what they think from there. The condition's not too bad at all, from what I saw, and their conservators should be able to make sure it keeps.
