What are the main theories about the death of Alexander the great in depth?
I've read about the possibilities such as alcohol poisoning, assasination, illness and stress, but I want to learn more. Any good sites or someone that cares to write a short paragraphs about it?
I wrote this post on the topic a while ago. It doesn't really answer your question, though, except to say that the ancients themselves already had a range of different theories as to what killed Alexander. I'd be happy to hear more from someone more familiar with the scholarship on this!
