I just redeemed the €500 "cultural bonus" the Italian government gave me for turning 18 and I can spend it on a variety of book websites but the most inviting is Amazon, because of its huge selection of books. My bonus ends on the 31st of December 2017 so if I don't spend the money by then it's gone, so ideally I want to get the most expensive books out the way I perhaps wouldn't have bought and read without this opportunity. Even if the books cost quite a bit I don't mind at all. I can buy either the physical book or the ebook so even if it has to go through shipping I don't mind!
I'm interested in anything you might also find interesting!
^^also ^^sorry ^^for ^^butchering ^^the ^^title ^^I ^^rewrote ^^it ^^like ^^5 ^^times ^^over
Why expensive books and not €0.01 used books+shipping? For €500 you can have a whole library.
If you're thinking of going to College/University, look into the staple textbooks of the field you're interested in.
If not - get stuff that relates to what you're interested in - a €150 book that is gathering dust on your bookshelf without having been read is worth less than a €10 book that's been read.
My policy is always to buy used for a penny. Some exceptionally rare books though (if you can't pirate them) are definitely worth it. I can't really recommend anything to you as I don't know what you're looking for. My last two >100 purchases were "a history of human responses to death" and the "materials towards a history of witchcraft" series. I consider both purchases worth it due to some discussion of rare topics.
