This is a bit of an experimental post. We haven't listed job openings here before, so I'm interested in your feedback.
This is for a pair of journeyman archivist slots to be based at institutions somewhere in the state. Museums and archives across the state have applied for the services of the archivists, and the state will pick which ones get them in February.
For you, you'll be paid $7,500, plus $1,000 in travel expenses, and some archives/museums will have lodging for you while you're here. You'll be in Alaska for six weeks, working with an institution on a particular project.
This is an opening geared toward someone with a bachelor's degree and a bit of experience, but it's also open to you if you have a master's degree. It's an entry-level thing designed to give you experience and give you a taste of Alaska during the summer.
