While we know that, for example, Michelangelo worked in Florence in 1502, I've never heard about the actual location of his studio... or for that matter any other artist's studio except the more recent ones.
Do we know the actual locations of where various artists worked and lived?
Have those locations been excavated?
Do we have pictures??
