Zoroastrianism seems to be a far more progressive religion compared to Islam , which has been the dominant religion in that area for a long time, even before the events of 1979.
Although there are supposedly 25,000 still in Iran today, I'm curious as to what might have caused such small numbers.
Zoroastrianism probably didn't have any impact on Iran during that time period. Most Iranian Zoroastrians left Iran for India long before the Iranian Islamic Revolution. What I am curious about would be what impact Bahaism, another monotheistic religion growing a following in Iran at the time, might have had during the Islamic revolution? If anyone knows that would be amazing!
