Doing a history project on the Sassanid Empire, and I haven't been able to find very many texts concerning the Sassanid Empire (most are about the Achaemenid Empire). Any recommendations? Thanks!
I believe A History of the Modern Middle East by Cleveland & Bunton talks about the Sassanid Empire in the early chapters. Though not as much as the Byzantine Empire. I'm reading this book for one of my major courses this semester. I'll have a look tomorrow and see if it lists any of its resources for the Sassanid Empire sections and update if it does.
The top chunk of this list is a start: http://astarreckonerslot.com/bib.html
I recommend anything by Touraj Daryaee. And The Cambridge History of Iran, Volume 3: The Seleucid, Parthian and Sasanid Periods (Parts 1 & 2).
