Wasn't the US far superior to Mexico in manpower and technology? Why would the Mexican government ever even consider this plan, when it seems so unlikely to have succeeded?
To be clear, by "the plan" doe you mean Mexico enters the war (which would have been a boon to Germany regardless whether mexico won or not) or actually beats the US?
