I read that to get a government job in Nazi Germany you needed to get an Aryan certificate and that the certificate had to trace the family pedigree down to 1800 (and to 1750 for SS officers) and prove they had no non Aryan ancestors, would Hitler himself have even passed this test?
The Aryan certificate linage verification was mostly for high Nazi party official jobs and for both Allgemeine and Waffen SS recruits of all ranks. As for Hitler himself it would be possible however there are gaps in his family tree that would raise red flags for anyone other than Hitler. His grand father on his fathers side is still disputed, However being that this is Adolf Hitler they would overlook such things. In fact survivors of the Berlin bunker in 1945 tell a story of when Hitler and Eva Braun where going thru the official ceremony of being married in the bunker, The party official out of habit asked Hitler for such papers in order to be legally married. After a brief pause from the on lookers being taken back from the request, A high ranking officer said something to the effect of "....He's the Furher, It won't be necessary" in a clam yet assertive tone. You can see this very scene recreated in the 2004 movie Downfall (Der Untergang).
