What are some good readings/ reliable sources I can use, I having difficulties coming up with things journals/scholarly paper on my schools data base.
It's an old post, but I see it hasn't been answered. Hope I'm not too late.
Anything that Steven Zaloga wrote is quite reliable. More and more sources about WW2 armour became available over time, so his newer books are to be trusted over his older books (the same could be said about any author, really), but he's a great source in general. In particular, I'd suggest Armored Champion.
In addition, here's a list of what I have in my library about the Tiger I and II (you didn't mention Tiger I or II, so I'll give sources for both), in no particular order:
King Tiger vs IS-2: Operation Solstice 1945, by David R. Higgins
Tiger Tank Manual: Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger 1 Ausf.E (Sdkfz 181)
Tigers in Combat, by Wolfgang Schneider
Germany's Tiger Tanks: VK45.02 to TIGER II Design, Production & Modifications, by Hilary L. Doyle
Germany's Tiger Tanks D.W. to Tiger I: Design, Production & Modifications, by Thomas L. Jentz
Tiger 1 Heavy Tank 1942–45, by Tom Jentz and Hilary Doyle
