Genghis Khan, Attila and other warmongers wreaked havoc all around the same area in different time periods. Is it a coincidence or did they learn from the others sucess?
Romans and Greeks were.warmongers too. Romans salted Carthage and burnt down Jerusalem. Greeks were responsible for the fall of the Persian Empire, pretty much the centre of culture at that time.
In fact, you could say the Europeans were more savage. They still are. WW1,WW2 attest to the fact, if you go by numbers.
