Did LDS president Heber J. Grant ever try to collaborate with the Nazis?

Hello fellow historians.

I forgot which source I got this from, but I heard LDS(Mormon) president Heber J. Grant wanted to collaborate with the Nazis by using the missionaries serving in Germany and creating some type of pact. I am trying to figure it out if this is true or not.

If you historians have any information/sources about this subject please let me know.

Moroni and the Swastika: Mormons in Nazi Germany is a recent (2015) work on the topic. It is critical of Mormon collaboration via a comparison (one which could be criticized) with Jehovah's Witnesses.

I have not read it, but will be meeting with the author in the next few weeks. I will ask him about it. Feel free to PM me or put the question back up and pm that you have done so.

EDIT: If you look at the Amazon page for the book and look at user reviews, there is a review by Texas A&M grad student Grant Harward. He is a scholar of the Holocaust and a practicing LDS member. The author of the above mentioned book then responds and there is a back and forth. While located on Amazon's reviews, the discussion is interesting and valuable. I suggest taking a look at it.
