What Evidence is there for Jesus of Nazareth's Existence

by cmcraes

Many members of r/atheism claim that there is little to no historical non-christian evidence for his mere existence as a man. I cited Tacitus and Julius Africanas writings but they waved them off as unreliable secondary sources. Am I mistaken, or are they ignoring evidence? What evidence is there for or against Jesus being a man in history and being crucified for spreading Christianity? Thank you!

While I can't answer the question myself, I believe these three answers from the FAQ may help you:

  1. Is Tacitus the main reason historians accept Jesus's historicity? by /u/jasoncaspian
  2. How much evidence is there for a historical jesus christ besides the bible? by /u/talondearg
