I suggest you start with the Oxford History of the United States, a multi-volume history of the country, with each volume covering a sequential history of the country and written by an eminent scholar in the field. If something from a particular volume interests you, you can always read the sources that the author has used to assemble that volume.

I am aware of no podcast or videos that can even approach the quality of the Oxford History.
