I'm definitely going to live in the UK in a few months, which is where I'm from (currently an expat). I'd really like to do Ancient History, but don't know where to start. The links I've been pointed to are "don't do it, don't even consider it".
Definitely research Ancient History courses at Unis you might like to study at in the UK as well as any other courses that are similar to it (e.g. look at Archaeology, Classics, and/or Law).
Most Unis also publish statistics on the percentage of students that enjoyed a course, were employed within six months, etc. on their course pages.
