What were the political ramifications for invading a neutral country in World War II?

Could you perhaps specify what you mean by "political ramifcations" (e.g. domestic politics of the invader/s? domestic politics of the invaded? foreign relations of both? post-war political consequences?) and which countries you have in mind? There were so many violations of neutrality in WWII that I'm not sure it would be possible to generalize, and "political ramifications" covers quite a lot. The Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran, for instance, resulted in the deposition of Reza Shah and the installation of his son, Mohammed Reza, whose rule, it goes without saying, had long term political ramifications of world-historical significance.

Now, was that a direct political ramification of the invasion of neutral Iran in WWII? Probably not, but you can see how open ended such a question might be, and might not actually cover what you have in mind.
