Is there any credibility to the claim of a Russian peasant giving birth to 69 children over her lifetime?

by Pool_With_No_Ladder

Supposedly, the wife of Feodor Vassilyev had 16 sets of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets. This is beyond the limits of credulity, especially since Mr. Vassilyev allegedly remarried to have 18 more children afterwards. I figure the story was either made up completely, or he was a polygamist who attributed all of his children to one woman to escape legal trouble. Is there any reliable evidence to the claim that one woman gave birth to 69 children, or should it be considered just a historical myth that's fooled some people?
