Space Archaeology

by starmanders

Are there any space archaeologists out there today?! When will we be able to explore other planets on globalXplorer? What comes after Peru? What new discoveries have been made through the use of the public platform? Thank you for your contributions worldwide! —Anders

Hi, while it's possible you could get answers here, this question might do better in a sub with more archaeologists. Consider x-posting to /r/Archaeology, /r/AskScience, or /r/AskAnthropology

I'm not sure you understand the term you're using; that or I don't understand what you've written.

Space archaeology is a field of archaeology that studies old human spacecraft, such as the Vanguard 1 satellite. It's also used to refer to using satellites to map out and study archaeological sites on Earth, but a more accurate way to define this is remote sensing.

Though I haven't used globalXplorer, Google has maps of Mars and the Moon available in browser form or as standard features of Google Earth.
