Is there a time when vodun and the spirituality/culture practised in the mystery schools/"cults" of Ancient Kemet/Egypt overlapped or became interwoven?

I'm specifically interested in whether this overlap occurred in or around New Orleans, but answers that reference vodun/voodoo can span as broadly as Yoruba and other similar cultures that worship with Orishas.

Can you clarify what you're asking? The revival of Ancient Egyptian traditions (Kemetic Orthodox Faith) is relatively new and can be traced to 1989. The founder is also a Vodou priestess named Tamara L. Siuda. Are you trying to better understand this history or are you asking about something older?
