Not really sure what section this would go in, but this one seems best.
Recently became the owner of this old knife, was wondering if anyone knew anything about it since I really don't.
Extra note: If anyone knows the best way to clean one of these, would love to know. Front https://i.imgur.com/rKycCyK.jpg

All I know is, that it is supposedly from around the 1900's, and apprently the white on the hilt is peril, but I have no idea.
I am not a historian so I don't have any details about your piece, but I am a knife maker. I always advise those with older knives, especially antiques, to not attempt to clean them. Restoring a knife is really difficult and any attempt could damage the piece and reduce its value.
Wipe the knife down with oil to prevent rust, don't store it in the sheath, sharpen it occasionally, and that's all I would do.
