German parade jacket question

So my brother recently purchased a (used??) mint-coloured German parade jacket from a military outlet. That's as far as it was labelled in the store. I believe it's WW2 or based off such. Wondering if anybody can give me any information about the jacket and company and perhaps translate the tag.

It's not WWII. It looks to be a west German military dress jacket, similar to this one.

Also, I tried to translate the tag, not 100% but came back with "sports jacket". Leipzig is the city the factory is in that made it, which was part of east and west Germany, prior to re-unification.
