Let's not ask too much about how I got onto the ship, or how I went unnoticed as it left.
Let's just say it was dark out, and in a classic moment of drunken genius I just sorta wandered on unseen, got to a lower deck and then decided to sleep off the booze. Is this going to be the longest hangover of my life?
How much trouble am I going to be in now? Would I be put into some brig or be expected to work off my poor decision making? Would I be dropped off at the next planned stop, or would I become a part of the whole voyage? How do I even get back to Britain from wherever I get dropped off at?
I assume the response to my action would probably be different depending on if I was going to somewhere in Europe compared to somewhere like Hong Kong. How might it differ?
Any info on this would be appreciated, but especially appreciated would be any entertaining stories about drunken stowaways who did not realise what they had just signed up for.
Clarification question: is it before 1814?
