Has anyone here read any of these want to comment on them from an historians perspective? (or link to academic reviews?)

I'd be especially interested in hearing about:

“The Other Slavery: The Uncovered Story of Indian Enslavement in America” (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), which argues that it was mass slavery at the hands of Spanish conquistadors, rather than epidemics, that devastated the Native American population.

Because that certainly sounds like some hard core (but potentially fascinating) revisionism to my entirely non-specialist ears :)
