Obviously, the peoples who populated the Americas originated from the Old World in some way or another. Did any of that get passed down? Was there any sort of awareness that they had crossed onto a different continent?
Probably related - are there any oral traditions among indigenous peoples referring to the Viking settlement either in the New World or Greenland?
