Did the Soviet Union reinforce the pavement near Red Square?

by toefirefire

I read one of the articles that is floating around today about Trumps inauguration and how if they had tanks parade down the street it would tear them up. Did the Soviet Union and other countries with lots of military parades build roads specifically for oversized tracked vehicles? How would those parade logistics work? Did they have reinforced roads all the way to military bases or truck in all those vehicles for each parade?

They use different tracks for tanks on parade, designed specifically to not tear up the paving (it has a lot less grip).

EDIT: Here is a photo of what I mean (this isn't a different track per say, it's a rubber insert that serves the same purpose) https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/tank-tracks-wheels-detail-shot-military-parade-84468777.jpg
