I currently bought a World War II pin at a flea market in Budapest, Hungary. However i'm not sure if it is even real or a replica? But either way would I be able to get more information on the pin and the significance of it?
This is the German Cross.
The German Cross was issued in two divisions: gold and silver (the color of the laurel wreath around the swastika), the former being an award for repeated acts of bravery or repeated outstanding achievements in combat, the latter being for multiple distinguished services in war efforts and was considered a continuation of the War Merit Cross with swords.
Unfortunately, what you have is a reproduction.
Here is a link to a similar item. Sorry the website is not in English, but all you have to do is look and originals to tell this is a repo.

The companies that made this specific medal in ww2 were...Zimmerman, Deschler & Sohn and C.E. Juncker. Mostly Zimmerman though. I could not find any authentic ones made by the company on the reverse side.
EDIT - further info
