I am trying to find specific numbers of First World War volunteers and conscripts(e.g. by city and county) in the UK but have found no such record. Does anyone know how, or if, I can find this?

by Scottishlad28

So far I can only find numbers by country and websites which give specific numbers infuriatingly don't give sources.

Cities and Counties I am looking for: Aberdeen Aberdeenshire Leeds Yorkshire Cardiff South Wales

Apologies if this isn't a correct submission, this is my first time asking something here.

Any help appreciated

I don't know that the details are online. You're going to have to go through the following volumes (which are not online):

Statistics of the Military Effort of the British Empire During the Great War, 1914-1920 (London: H.M. Stationery Office, 1922)

and

UK Parliamentary Papers, 1921 - General Annual Reports on the British Army (including the Territorial Force) for the Period from 1st October, 1913, to 30th September, 1919. (Cmd. 1193)

and

Statistical Abstract of Information regarding the Armies at Home and Abroad, 1914 - 1920 (War Office 1920)
