Hi, high school student here who is very interested in history. Specifically, I really enjoy reading about ancient civilisations, the history of language, and modern European history. Could somebody recommend some books to read to expand my scope in historical knowledge? Or maybe suggest a starting point and/or study path (important periods or events) to really get my teeth into. I'm going to be taking a gap year, so I will have a lot of time to pursue my interest in history, which has largely gone neglected in the past few years. Thanks in advance!
