Hello! Recently, having watched a relevant series and performances on YouTube I have gotten into rakugo and I decided to pick it as the subject of one of my uni semester assignments. There aren't too many things to be found though in English that would help me, besides the first few results on Jstor and Google results that I can't use. Has anyone here ever encountered any books on the subject? I'd be really thankful, especially if they contain transcribed performances :) I've already read 'Rakugo Japanese professional storytelling' by amin sweeney and journals like 'the blue eyed story teller' and 'tabibanashi'. Thanks in advance :)
(I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if it's not, I'm sorry in advance.)
Hello there. Your question seems to be related to school work, so we just want to remind you, and any potential respondents, that our rules DO permit people to ask for help with their homework, so long as they are seeking clarification or resources, rather than the answer itself. This policy is further explained in this META Thread.
Additionally, while our users may be able to help you out here, we hope that you also will take the time to check out our six-part series, "Finding and Understanding Sources", which should hopefully prove to be helpful for you as you continue in your research.
