Announcing Best of March, 2017 Award Winners

by Georgy_K_Zhukov

The votes are in!

By unanimous consent, the Flairs and Users both voted /u/sunagainstgold's answer to the question "Where are we on 'No Irish Need Apply', historiographically?" as the top pick of the month!

The second prize goes to /u/mikedash for their answer to "Did something like the Hunger Games take place in the Easter Islands?".

And finally, the Dark Horse Award, for the highest voted contribution from a non-flair, was a tight race, with /u/QuickSpore beating out the competition with their response to "In "I Believe" (from The Book of Mormon), Elder Price sings that "I believe that in 1978 God changed/his mind about black people." What did the Mormons believe about black people before this? What is the current stance, and why did it take so long for this stance to be official?"

So as always, a big congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to everyone who contributed to the subreddit in the past month! Also a reminder, if you want to nominate answers for the monthly awards, the best way to do so is to submit your favorite posts every week to the Sunday Digest!

Thank you very much. I am honoured the answer was even noticed, and doubly so to be associated in any way with the incredible /u/sunagainstgold.

QuickSpore

As they say, it's an honor to even be considered. Thanks everyone. It's wonderful to know that my little contributions are appreciated.

All three of those discussions are a reminder of why I need to hit the save button more often and check back on threads.
