I have personally not read anything that specifically states where the consuls were deployed.
According to Polybius, who is the closest source we have to the battle the Romans deployed conventionally with infantry in the centre flanked by cavalry, the only noticeable difference was the depth of the infantry. They had a lot more depth than normal.
To attempt to answer your question, given Hannibal's knowledge of Roman tactics and the fact that they deployed in a very normal way, it is fairly likely Hannibal knew before-hand where they would be.
