I am writing a paper on the Taiping Rebellion and I have scoured the web for primary sources but have found nothing. Does anybody know any databases of websites were I can find these. Thanks!
What languages are you working with, and what are you trying to find out? On the English side, you can look at records from Parliament (aka Blue Books) or perhaps documents from the Foreign Office. There is also plenty of commentary from contemporary newspapers.
