Before asking this question, I did my homework and tried to look into this question myself, but the best I've found were homework help websites with little to no sources, and a Wikipedia page almost completely devoid of citations. I'm trying to learn about Latin American history (as it is a part of the world I don't really know anything about), but I'm having trouble investigating this particular event.
The conference was called the International America Conference, later referred to as Pan-American. That could be some of the issue.
The primary goal of the conference was improved economic relations with Latin America. Was it successful? Not particularly, for a number of reasons. Attendance was low, as a result of the War in the Pacific and power struggles in Latin America. This made success difficult and it was impossible to work around the strife between leaders.
