Was bronze armor used after the Bronze Age

by Areonaux

Is there any evidence of bronze armor being used in combat significantly after the Bronze Age?

Iphikrates

Absolutely. Due to its shine (conspicuous and intimidating) and protective qualities, bronze body armour and bronze helmets remained in use until at least the 1st century BC, a solid millennium after the end of the Bronze Age. The Greeks never actually switched to using iron for their body armour, even though they were using iron for weapons by at least the 10th century BC.

Some of our most spectacular examples of bronze armour date to the period after the end of the Bronze Age, such as the Argos panoply (c. 730 BC), or this full suit of bronze armour from Southern Italy (c. 330 BC).
