When I think of the legacy of dueling, I picture it as an exclusively male enterprise. Is this really the case? Or are there records of women dueling as well?

Forgive me if this skates too close to the "throughout history" sort of question -- I guess I will narrow it down to 17th-19th c. Europe, if that helps.

Did women ever duel? If so, with what weapons? And over what subjects?
