I have a relative that was in the 78th lightning division and I would love to see his division and try to find any pictures of him as I have unfortunately never been able to meet him. His name was William W. Wilt, he was in the 310 Infantry Regiment, 78th Division. Also, his letters were published in a book but I do not know what the title is. Besides the letters, I only want to find pictures or film of him. Time is of the essence as this information is slowly being lost forever. I would be forever grateful if you could help me better know my long deceased relative. Also, here is the only picture I have of him. Thank you and God bless. http://imgur.com/7Y9TCdx
Hello there! As your question is related to looking for identification/information regarding military personnel, our Guide on Military Identification may be of use to you. It provides a number of different resources, including how to request service records from a number of national agencies around the world, as well as graphical aids to assist in deciphering rank, unit, and other forms of badges or insignia. While the users here may still be able to lend you more assistance, hopefully this will provide a good place to start!
