My wife and I were talking about this, and she didn't think there was, while I heard stories from vets about being on the Czech border during the 70's and 80's.
Germany was occupied by the US (and Allies) since WWII. I grew up in Munich in the 80's, and yes, have visited a few military bases, and some (see Rammstein) are still there. When I was a kid there were a couple more bases in Munich, another in Heidelberg (where my cousin was stationed for a while).
Not 70's and 80's, to a lesser extent American troops are still there, 80 years after the war and 30 years after the cold war. We still have army and air force bases in Germany.
