I've read on Wikipedia about them, but it seems brief. I was looking for something more explorative on the subject. Preferably more modern, but ancient histories would do well enough.
You could try reading Dividing the spoils:The war for Alexander the Great's empire by Robin A.H. Waterfield from Oxford university press.
For a comprehensive and fairly challenging volume (970 pages), I would suggest Peter Green's "From Alexander to Actium". In my opinion, Green is one of the best and most balanced historians on Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Age up until Cleopatra, last of the Ptolemies. Another great read is his "Alexander of Macedon". If I remember correctly, Green also published a smaller intro book on the Hellenistic Age.
