I'm an average, middle class 20-22 year old in 1950. What is my average day or week like?

That's a very open question. In many ways, life was just like now, you had radio and TV, but with much less variety. Movies were bigger deal. The car culture was taking off, and cruising the main boulevard in town would be a thing. Public swimming pools were big thing in middle class neighborhoods and many hobbies still popular today, were done back then as well, snow skiing, water skiing boating, fishing, hunting, as well flying and gun clubs. Books and Magazines were a thing, magazines a much bigger thing back then. Most middle class communities had large public libraries. You also would not necessarily being in college, back then high schools had two paths, the trades path, the college path, and you did not need a degree to have an ice middle income job, but you still had to work for it, or learn it. IE, if you went into the trades, you would be an apprentice plumber or electrician, once you worked the field long enough some paths had certifications, some required full trade schools, and though not considered the greatest path in life, was not looked down upon like the trades, who are dying for new blood, are now.

Another aspect was the draft was back on as of 1948 as things went south with our relations with the Soviet Union, there was real fear of atomic war, and we needed men in Europe to help defend it, or at least make it less of a ripe target, and then Korea kicked off in 1950, so there was a real chance of getting drafted, but not at rate like WWII. Getting drafted or joining the military was always an option, and many middle class families have long traditions of service.

The 50s were also an era of fads, hula hoops, skate boarding, surfing etc. For an interesting look into the 50s, you can go into Google books, and look at all the Life magazines from the 50s. https://books.google.com/books?id=TUAEAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=life+magazine+1950&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjxkoGXgLfTAhVB2mMKHcIfA3w4ChDoAQguMAM#v=onepage&q&f=false

Take it all in, the stories, the adds, the fashion, window right into America 1950.

As for jobs, you could find almost any kind of non computer tech work in the US in the 50s.
