Found this wacky sex education pamphlet from the 1950's or earlier in the back of a kitchen drawer in our newly purchased house.

Aside from being hilarious and disturbing on so many levels, we're wondering exactly when it was from, and whether some of the ideas it describes are unique to a particular decade.

Can anyone help date this?

Here are the clues so far:

• Our house is in Rhode Island and was built in 1929.

• Of all the books referenced in the end of the pamphlet, the newest one is dated 1921.

• Prepared By The United States Health Service

• Distributed by the Washington Bureau of this Newspaper, Frederick M. Kirby, Director

• Washington Bureau 1322 New York Avenue Northwest, Washington D.C.
