Ive seen the statistic that only 6% of white southerners owned slaves, but the only source I could find supporting that was this one from Vice, which I know isn't all that reliable, and I found this saying less then half of Mississippi owned a slave, which still seems like it could be more then 6%. So could someone provide some answers?
