I am researching my family history, they were fairly high up in the Rhodesian social class and I want to get more in depth knowledge about the bush war, csn you recomend some good sources or some starting points?
There's a book called Mukiwa that's an interesting first hand account of growing up in 1960s Rhodesia and then serving in the Rhodesian Security Forces during the war.
Fireforce is supposed to be a good read, it was written by someone who served in the Rhodesian Light Infantry.
Ian Smith's The Great Betrayal is highly biased (obviously) but still a useful source if you want to know more about what Rhodesia's leader was thinking.
