Hello Historians, how can we track Gunnar Grimshaw's movement's alongside his daily diary from WW1?

Hello!

I've been following this blog every day and I thought it would be cool to have a liver tracker than can be updated to see a soldier's movements during WW1.

Mr Howard, who runs the blog, is using his Grandfather's (? Don't quote me on that) diary from the time and has said it would be a good idea to map his movements, but doesn't know how. Neither do I, so can anyone help?

He also has a chronological list of Gunnar Grimshaw's whereabouts that could be used.

Thanks so much!

Since you already have a list of his whereabouts, am I right in thinking you are asking if there is a way to implement a geographical tracker in a purely technical sense?.

If so, your problem is probably better posed to a more technically or programming oriented subreddit. Possibly r/web_design or r/programming ?
