What was the international reaction to Hiroshima and Nagasaki? How was the reaction at the possibility of such massive yielding explosives.

Not just condemnations and such, but I'm more interested in the reaction to the might and yield of such bombs when nearly the entire population head never even heard of anything outside conventional explosives.
