Hey all, First off i read through the side bar books on WWII and will definitely add those to my reading list. I was hoping to find some good recommendations or suggestions for books about little known events in WWII. Anything you all can vouch for id greatly appreciate!

I really enjoyed Thomas Cutler's The Battle of Leyte Gulf. Plenty of controversy there.

Black Shoe Carrier Admiral is a very interesting sounding book. The author's stated goal is to rehabilitate the image of Frank Jack Fletcher. Fletcher's career is interesting, he led American forces to victory in the first three carrier battles of WW2 but was then relieved and has gone down in history as a bit of a timid bungler, a reputation that may not be deserved.
